National Board Certification is a voluntary advanced professional certification for PreK-12 educators that identifies teaching expertise through a performance-based, peer-reviewed assessment.

- Effective & Reflective Practitioner – portfolio submission
The state of Mississippi determined that for every $1 they invest in NBCT they capture a return of $31 in the way of remediation and summer school support that is not needed when students meet learning standards.
