Director of Engagement

Huntsville Committee of 100 hires Stephanie Lowe as Director of Engagement

Stephanie Lowe brings 13 years of marketing and nonprofit management to this newly designed role for the Huntsville Committee of 100.

Huntsville, AL (January 3, 2018)-Huntsville Committee of 100 announced today that Stephanie Lowe has been named Director of Engagement for the business organization. In this newly designed role, Stephanie will be responsible for the development and management of content for all social media and marketing platforms. She will also manage events and the Young Professionals program, a group of 50 local emerging leaders.

“The Huntsville Committee of 100 welcomes Stephanie Lowe as our Director of Engagement.  She brings the perfect blend of experience and leadership to our executive leadership team.  Her deep perspective, understanding, and comprehension of the challenges and opportunities in our community will deliver success. As the Committee of 100 engages both internally to our members and externally to our community partners, there is no question Stephanie will collaborate and provide consistency to our continual efforts in support of high-quality public education, long-term economic development and vitality, and cooperative local government.”- John Allen, CEO, Huntsville Committee of 100

Originally from Germantown, TN and a graduate of Auburn University, Stephanie began her career in Charleston SC as Marketing and PR Director for the designer handbag company, Moo Roo. After a few years traveling the country opening stores as a corporate merchandiser for Urban Outfitters, Inc., she and her husband moved to Nashville and her nonprofit career began with the American Heart Association(AHA). During her 8 years with the Greater Nashville AHA, she helped grow the Nashville Heart Walk into a $2 million premiere community event and a top 5 AHA event nationally.

After relocating with her family to Huntsville three years ago, she joined the staff of the Alabama Kidney Foundation(AKF) as the State Walk Director. There she oversaw all aspects of the AKF in North Alabama as well as managed the Community Directors in Montgomery, Mobile & Dothan. Under her leadership, the Huntsville walk more than doubled its funds raised and the AKF posted their best year to date in 2016-2017.

When she is not working or spending time with her husband and two kids she enjoys serving the Huntsville community. She is incredibly proud of her work with other local young professionals to start Huntsville’s first giving circle, Give256. She is also the Vice President of Fund Development for the Junior League of Huntsville, a member of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Connect Class 19, a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and President-Elect for the Blossomwood Elementary PTA. She also enjoys volunteering at her church, Southwood Presbyterian.
