Huntsville Committee of 100 Announces 2018 Board and BizPac Chairs

The Huntsville Committee of 100, a group of 242 CEOs and professionals has elected Greg Brown, as Committee of 100 Chair and Scott Averbuch as BizPac Chair for 2018-2019.

Greg is a Huntsville native and Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Brown Precision, Inc. Brown has served in numerous leadership roles in the community, including the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce, BizPac, North Alabama Region 1 Workforce Council, Huntsville industrial Group, and is currently a member of Leadership Alabama.

“It is my great privilege to serve this organization that works together to support our community and region.  We will continue to work towards excellence in public education and developing long-term economic strategies that impact our future success.”

Scott Averbuch, also a Huntsville native and Chief Executive Officer of Averbuch Realty, has been elected as BizPac Chair for 2018-2020. Scott has been a member of the Committee of 100 since 2002. He is a past president of the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS. Scott has also served on the Corporate Board of the Huntsville/Madison County Boys and Girls Club, as the Vice Chair of Downtown Huntsville Inc., is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club, and is a past board member of The Space and Rocket Center.

The Committee of 100 is honored to have them lead their continued efforts of stimulating long-term economic development, supporting high-quality public education, and encouraging cooperative local government. The Committee of 100 works primarily in developing long-term strategies that impact economic vitality.

BizPac’s mission is to identify, develop, and encourage visionary, business-oriented candidates with a commitment to cooperative government to run for local public office, and support them as they serve the community.
